So I have this common problem that my alarm went off when I put the battery back in my '94 Jetta, and now the radio is in safe mode. I have the code to reset it, but I can't figure out how to enter this code. I called the dealer, & they said my owner's manual should tell me how- but it doesn't. Does anyone know???

I just did it on my 98 Jetta. I hope that I can remember this...
Type in the code by using the number keys, and then hold down the forward seek button that is on the left for about ten seconds. I will look at my book this weekend and double check. I don't think that there was a big difference in the radios for our models.

I just brought mine to the VW Dealership, and they reset it for free. It took only few minutes for the Service Advisor to reset it. Actually, this was the second time I brought my car to te VW Dealershsip for the same problem (Jetta and Golf).
