EVS II Schematic/keyless entry

im looking for a copy of the install manual for an EVS II kit
or a copy of the schematic/wiring diagram so i can trace down
a problem.
thanks in advance for any and all help.

whats the problem?? I deal with keyless entry systems every day!!

my truck came with the evs II installed when i bought it.
there is what looks like a pushbutton/led---
w/4 wires that is not connected to the main unit.
the plug is connected so whether the wires came out or were never hooked up i dont know for sure.
the remotes will lock and unlock the doors and turn on the interior lights but without the button hooked up i cant program the other features such as auto lock and unlock with ignition. also supposed to be some panic feature.
if you can supply a schematic for the unit or know where i can obtain one it would be greatly appreciated.

was you're truck used? the evsII didn't have a valet switch or led, it should have a security light in the dash cluster.The valet and led you see are probably from an aftermarket unit that was removed. Programming for the evs II is done through the ignition and the remote buttons!! The instructions should be in your vehicle manual as it's a factory opption!!

according to another list i am on
the 94-97 did not have the combo button/led
if thats what this is it is definitely a button and does look like a diode.
from mid 97 on up possibly for the 98 model years
they had the button to facilitate programming
with out going back to the dealer.

i have all the paper work that came with the truck as i am the 2nd owner and one of the manuals shows the button and how to program the EVSII
with it but there is no schematic for how the wires should be connected. i believe this unit is capable of taking an evsII plus which includes the alarm functions
i dont have the model number of the kit itself here
but do have it at home as the guy gave me everything with the truck when i purchased it.
i can only assume that when the dealer installed it
they never gave him the install manual itself.

I am looking for the same thing. I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 with keyless entry and EVS II Security Plus. It stopped working last week and, of course, failed with the ignition cutoff active! You would be surprised how easy it is to defeat, though.

Any luck in finding the schematic or installation instructions?
