I am currently working on a couple of ideas to fix this, but I was hoping to get a fresh viewpoint from you guys. All mazdaspeed proteges that have the injen CAI have this problem also.

The sound of the stock IC plumbing and stock BPV sounds about the same as the setup I am running in the vid.

Kinda loud:)

Here is the setup:

I will be running new vacuum sources for the BOV and wastegate, because mazda for some reason put both on the same line with a T. After that, I am having a larger nipple welded to the intake so I can run a 1"ID hose from the BOV discharge to the intake.

Any other ideas???

I redid the vacuum lines and switched the valve to open vent and it still has massive surge. There is a nice blast of air coming from the valve, but the fluttering noise is still coming out of the air filter.

ANY IDEAS???

Problem solved, I ran the stock BPV recirculating in addition to my open vent HKS. It is no longer surging my turbo, and it sounds way better on shifts.

New sound:
