Racing, flat tire, dead?

Well im just wondering, when racing we usually reach highspeed, such as 100 miles per hour or more. In the event of hitting a hole and having a flat tire at 100 miles per hour theres no way to control your car and death is what comes second right? At what speeds can you controll your car when having a flat tire....Im scared when i go at high speeds that my tires will blow up and ill just die.

just make sure you have good tires at all times :icon16:

Yes if you had a blow out at 100 mph you would more than likely die. If you're scared of hitting a pothole find a place where you no the road is straight and clean and always race there. And if not just make sure you check the road befroe going that fast.

Probably something I fear most of all. I go up 150kph+ (about 90mph+) at the highway all the time, and at that speed you know the danger is always there.

It's pretty simple. if at all in doubt, DON'T do it. That's common sense. Otherwise make sure all your steering and brakes are in proper working order for one. Steering problems can escalate problems and not properly functioning brakes are almost a guaranteed death sentance. But as for tires, if you plan on going over 100mph, it's almost required that you'll need at least H or V rated tires which can handle 130mph and a little over for V rated. As for if you get a blow out, It's all about the current road condition when/where it happens, as even moreso, it's about car control. If you know how to control your car in extreme situations and when your car exceeds it's limit and goes "out of control" then you should be able to survive a blowout, even if at that fast. When one happens, you'll want to grab a hold of the steering wheel with BOTH hands as firmly as possible, and just guide the car straight and don't let it veer off course suddenly if you can help it. If your brakes don't work (maybe a hose or brake line melted or ruptured in the blow out) then you can use your E-brake to help you stop as it's cable controlled rather than controlled by brake fluid.

Thanks for the pointers, its because in Mexico roads arent as nice as in the US so its more likely to hit a hole or get a flat tire. When I want to do my top speed ill try it on way to the beach, long distance roads here are private, meaning that you pay to go from one place to another, and they are very decent, but in normal highways and city no way...
