Hey there,
Well, I have a 2003 Saturn VUE AWD V6. The Saturn dealership has
a monopoly on their parts. The funny thing is I cannot even get a
simple oil plug incase it gets stripped out. ...... :banghead:.
How ridiciculous. Other GM dealerships (IE: Chevrolet) are not even
able to service it. Granted the VUE has been great. The thing
though is the Grease Monkeys cannot seem to get things on just right.
They always strip things out, and say, "Well it was the previous person
that did it"...ARGGH  ..... :banghead:.
Oh well....go fig.

This isn't an answer you'll like, but the torx head drain plug and aluminum oil filter cap are easily damaged by "Grease Monkeys" who use improper tools and over tighten them as they do it.
These parts should last the life of the vehicle if someone who knows what they are doing services them.

its not saturns fault that no one makes aftermarket parts for their cars. and you should be able to get a drainplug from cadillac, the catera uses the same 3.0L V6, just with a different intake manifold.
