if everyone knows that cold air is better than short ram (in performance) why do they still buy short ram? is it because they are worried about hydrolocking?

I've heard that in some cases, a short ram may make more HP because its more of a straight shot into the manifold, and it takes less time to get there.
Also, if you have a ram air hood, :gay:, then of course you'd want to take advantage of it and get a short ram intake.

The short ram gives your car a nice throaty sound that the cai can't even compare with, and the cai stops producing good power at over 7,000 (I think) rpm, so if you have a high reving car then the short ram would be a good option. I first got a short ram because of the sound it makes, later switched to cai because of the power it produces. :)
