ok fellas, i'm new here... but i stumbled on to this forum, and this looks like a nice joint.. so i figure start here. on to the real subject! the supra... I have to say, as a supra fan, i hate the new supra.... the golden years were always from 93-98... the 04 supra will have a v8 engine, but guess what? What you say? THE ENGINE WILL BE ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE TOYOTA SEQUOIA! This means too heavy, and no turbo chargers! nooooo!I'm telling you all, this "new" supra is a blessing in disguise.. :nono:

Many experts predict that Toyota will soon release the 2004 Toyota Supra, updating a long, successful line of cars. The last Toyota Supra model was the 1998 - an excellent balance of sporty efficiency and curve control. Toyota first made the fuel-injected Supra in 1971- that's 28 years of Toyota Supra performance. Personally, I can't wait for the 2004 Toyota Supra to hit the streets. Each successive Supra improved on previous models in both performance and design. I'd love to see Toyota's take on the modern sports car - just as it has provided a unique form of zippy auto entertainment for decades.I plan to shop for the 2004 Toyota Supra online - it's the easiest way I know. There are several great sites with accurate information on the 2004 Toyota Supra. Purchases can be made, or local dealers can be found by using online resources.

In 2002, rumors ran wild that Toyota would issue a new model of an old classic - the 2003 Toyota Supra. This car has been a cult hit since Toyota stopped making them in 1998, but not just because of the sporty 2003 Supra performance. Supra is well-known for combining standard racecar performance with a weight balance unusual for most sports cars, speculation ran wild as to what would be the design behind the 2003 Toyota Supra.A Car Of Legendary Proportions
The Toyota Supra has long be known for its unique, ever-changing body models. From the boxy, robotic zip-mobile Toyota Supras of the 1970s, to the elegantly-curved road-huggers of the 1990s, the Supra has been known to constantly surprise, without ever failing to delight consumers. Many wondered if the rumored 2003 Toyota Supra would resemble a car or an alien craft. When Toyota discontinued its popular line of Supras in 1998, many people were left without new versions of their favorite car. Combine this desire with simultaneously-run articles in 2001 - two popular car magazines ran articles claiming that the rumors of a new 2003 Toyota Supra model were true. It's no wonder rumors were flying.Whether you're a fan of the Toyota Supra's superior handling, or you've fallen in love with a Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, you know the feeling of excitement surrounding the possibility of new 2003 Toyota Supra models. For decades, Toyota would continue to unveil Supras that shocked and amazed fans and critics alike. Each successive Supra improved significantly on its predecessor - it's simple to imagine the huge buzz surrounding the speculated 2003 Toyota Supra.

OMG! U did not just type what i think you typed! Drop a V8 in a supra! u obviously dont know jack about supras. the only v8s out that can keep up with the 2jz (u probably dont even know what that is) are the z06 and 2003 Cobra engines. And the only reason i put the z06 is because it has 405hp stock but no potential. The 2jz came out 10 years ago and has more potential than pretty much any v8 that has come out since then. The one thing you dont do is swap OUT a 2jz. As far as neons go, if you were to talk to someone in the supra community they would laugh at you for putting neons on a supra. Hell a lot of supra guys dont even like body kits on supras. Sorry this post is so long its just that what you said pissed me off and i think you would be better off with a civic so you dont disgrace the supra.

Alright now that's just ludicrist, as the saying goes.. "there's no replacement for displacement." There is a clause in there, "except technology" but if you put the same technology on a SBC it'll put out double the hp of the 2jz. A bigger engine will make more power hands down every time. Why are you saying LS1's have no potential, we are on the same planet right? I know I've personally seen supercharged Vetts putting down some HUGE numbers. I do agree with you on the V8 in a supra though, there is no way any Toyota with the Supra name should ever have a V8. It just goes against all the Supra heritage, but hey it's not my car so whatever happens is ok with me.

Obviously a bigger engine has an advantage because it is bigger. Sure Supercharged vettes put down a lot of power. but the supra can make 800hp on stock bottom end. the only v8 i have seen that can do that is the 2003 cobra. plus the supra can be daily driven 700hp. i am partial to supras but i am not blinded by them

Hahahaha it's so true...
So supra_kid/arpus/fuckface... A few little pieces of supra trivia for ya...
How many cubic centimeters of displacement does a 2JZ-GTE engine have?
What production vehicle still has a 2JZ-GE (same block as NA MKIV supra)?
How many doors do the damn things have (there's an easy one for ya)?
How fast was the supra in fast and the furious? Judging by your talk about NOS in the trunk and neons and all that shit, you've seen the movie quite a few times.
And one last question... How tall of a wing should I throw on my supra for optimum acceleration? 48 inches? Maybe more? After all, the faster you look, the faster you go, right? Maybe that's why everyone's 4 seconds faster on the street than they are at the track...
Stupid kids... If you have legitimate questions about cars, which you want answered, in one simple post, people have no problem answering them. However, a thread of 26 posts, with 17 of them being yours, and 0 of them having any useful information (except for the one about NOS and neons, which leads me to believe that God will ensure you never own a vehicle as beautiful as a supra)... That's a useless waste of bandwidth. Oh, and try to answer my questions without copying and pasting them into google to find the answers, ok?
