Oxygen Sensor Unit

I Don't Have A Chiltons Book. So Will Somebody Tell Me Where The Oxygen Sensor Unit Is Located On 3.1l V-6 In A 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix. My Service Engine Soon Light Is On.

Do you know what code the computer is throwing???

I'm not sure exactly where the o2 sensor is on that motor, but check just before downpipe near the firewall.

Since it is a 96, and is most likely ODBII, there will be one in the rear exhaust manifold. There should also be one after the cat. converter. Make sure you replace the one that is actually throwing the code. And also, make sure you get the correct one, as they are different.
