Need help with headlights

Have 1986 200sx. Both headlights work on bright. However, once swith the dim, only the passenger side light works. Both LH and RH headlamp fuses are good. Have found headlamp sensor but have no idea what its function is. Any suggestion on how to fix this problems will be aprreciated.

Firs of all check your connections (bulb to power) your harness may be burnt out or might not be connect at all. If you have one get and elctro. meter and see if your having a power drain through some kind of relay or something, just a few ideas Im not really familiar with that generation. The switch seems to fail. the contacts in the switch get corroded and dirty. wiggle the switch to see if it makes a difference.
