oh my god, i'm o the freeway and this red integra with exhaust keeps tailing me obviously he wants to race me so i get over and he shoots in front of me, i did this on porpose so he would have a little advantage. any way hespeeds up and i follow him were doing about 95mph and the lanes get clear he gets in the next lane and gives me space and we took of, this guy either blew his engine or accidentally down shifted to 1st gear or his trans broke or what but he came to almost an abrubt stop
all the traffic was swervin behind him tryna miss him so they didn't crash

wow that is some weird shit. it is suppose to be physically impossible to shift into 1st gear after 20mph. cause there is a locking mechanism. and wow, if you were diesel enough to break the locking mechanism to hit first goin 95+ mph, then holy shit. that is what i call engine BREAKING lolz

Holy shit is right if he did do that. Probably would have revved right up to 20K RPMs (damn) or so, if it didn't just fall apart way before that.

The rev limiter wont limit the revs if you put it in the wrong gear???

Yeah, I'd be surprised if it didn't just pop right back out if first. Reverse if far more likely, though I'm surprised his tranny let him do it.

Wow that sucks. Hopefully his car isn't too messed up. Some of those B18 engines can be lethal when hooked up to a turbo. They have some guy on LS1.com that blows away modded LS1's on the freeway. Of course they're not exactly good from a dig.

My brother has blown two clutches this year going into 1st at 100kmh, but his gear box is fucked and keeps sending him the wrong way, and his locking mechanism just isn't there. He's getting his gearbox recond now.

I would say the guy in this story had the same problem, messed up gearbox letting(helping) him do bad things to his car.
