2000 Z71 (old style 5.7L) Replacement Shocks?

anyone have any good replacement ideas for the factory bilstein (sp?) shocks? i want something that maintains the ride quality if possible...
i about had a coronary when i asked chevy how much they cost....
fronts = $250 each
rears = $210 each
$900 for SHOCKS????? please put down the crack pipe ma'am

Go to Advance Auto or AutoZone. You can buy the Bilstiens for about $60.00
