Well. A: I don't like the small stock pedals, so I used the carbon fiber pedals I bought for my CRX, although I would rather have all black pedals.
B: The carpets I ordered from ebay, they are all black made to fit civics and not those cheapy cheapo carpets that you step on and and it flakes off.

:iagree: with SiZ. If you're gonna ask for our opinion, be prepared for the best and the worst of our replies. In my opinion your car has a lot of potential. Definitely don't let any of the...ahem....constructive critisism discourage you. Everyone has to start somewhere with their projects...

My only advice would be to do what you want, not what you think other people would consider "cool". Your car is an extention of yourself ... It's your hard earned money, and your hard work that will make the car what you want it to be. Honestly, who cares what we think?

Well A: Any critism can be constructive critism.

B: I've never seen/heard of carpets that flake. I bought my uncle "cheapo" carpets for his truck, for x-mas, a few years ago, and they show no signs of "flaking", just normal wear and tear.

Well here are my plans:

-D16Z6 Swap
-DC Ceramic Headers (non-chromed)
-Flow Cat & Flow Resonator with 2.25 pipe
-Coil-over lowering springs/havent decided about suspensions yet
-Exterior all chrome moulding coming off & going black/or being replaced with dx mouldings.
-Door Trim coming off.
-Paint (NH-630) Dark Silver w/pearl
-Rims, haven't decided yet, maybe honda rims/maybe aftermarket or maybe just stock wheels.

Thats it, not too much, just trying to keep it clean, simple and nice. The interior is staying the way it is.

Sorry, I meant mouldings, actually to be honest, I want to replace them with the 88-89 mouldings (as well as bumpers), but it will be a very long time until that happens.

As for the pedals, A1Racing cheapshit (I bought them when I had my CRX), my taste and money intake has changed a lot since then though, but again, I want to replace them with some nice all black pedals. I really like the wider feel of those pedals as compared to stock pedals.

I like how the stock pedals feel. Bigger pedals feel too bulky or something to me, seem to get in the way. And I've seen aftermarket clutch pedals slip off before, causing a missed shift.

yeah people have alot of different tastes, myself for example: i have aa 90 dx hatch, this winter i will be getting a gsr drivetrin swapped in(i know it sa bitch but it has to be done) im KEEPING the 13" black steelies on the car becaus i think theyre dope, slick flat black paint, the stock bumper from japan(wrap around lights-amber) black projecters with amber corners, amber fender lights to duplicate jdm bumpers and solid red taillights, i cut the springs 1 coil up from half way, i like how it looks now the black primer look but i think it will just be a little prettier with slick black paint, also i will be keeping a stock gsr exhaust becaus i really hate loud exhausts(not to mention body kits and altezas and big rims)

im working on getting a 95 hatch right now also, since my 90 is stripped(not even a heater core or dash afte ri go though emmisions) the 95 will jsut be somewhat honda luxury, 2000 gsr leather, gsr twisties the drivetrain and ill be traiding my freind the 2000 front end for his 95 type r integra for his front end and i will put that front end on my car, againa stock gsr exhaust and slammed on the ground,

dif people like dif stuff, i like sleeper type badass "ricers" but you seem like the kind of guy who likes body kits and rumbly exhausts, go for whatever you want but just be prepared to get your ass handed to you when your ace some people, i dont want to say negatice things but everyones ideal car is dif

dude pedals are pedals, i have the ractive carbon fiber pedals and i love um to death, i cant stand to drive a car with small pedals (size 13 1/2 shoe) so i need the pedals.

and being a 4dr driver dont get any body kits, just keep your plans like they are.

we got jer's si at an auction. the previous owner painted the interior red. it bugged him at first. but now that there is a b16 with some other good stuff under the hood he could care less. go ahead and laugh...but only if you have a b16 or better and deserve the right to laugh

I don't care how fast the car is, spray painted interior is the nastiest shit. Its so ghetto. Its getting up there with the uniwiper.

And on the pedal issue.. My stock rubber pedals were popping off all the time, so sometimes I'd go to use the clutch and it was just metal, and my foot was slipping off. So I got some POS Ractive pedals that have mesh on them. FUCK. Now, whenever my foot is wet I can go to push the clutch in and my foot just flys off!
I need to get something with real rubber in them. Like Sparco, or Momo.
Just something to consider when buying cheap shit.

A friend of mine has a B16 powered CRX drag car that runs mid 12s, but its ghetto as fuck. Lexan windows that he made himself, no sid impact beams (he sawed them out), custom solid rear suspension, welded differential.. Its huge ghetto no matter how you look at it, but its sickeningly fast for what it has done to it.

and you missed my point. if a car is faster than you then you really have no room to talk smack about it. including painted interior.

example: went to the races there was a muliti colored primered crx with a focuz altezza tailight conversion and a custom wide body on the back, and it said "ballin on a budget" on the back flat window so a race was set up so we went out to the spot not knowing what was racing it turned out to be him and a slightly modded ws6 in the end he spanked the TA 2-3 cars all motor he got some respect from me after seing that sure it looks ugly and slow but it really wasent......talk about a sleeper

what's the difference between me and you: i can appreciate any civic that has had hard work put into it, beyond turning a wrench. i love canned4thgen's civic. i have watched him carry out his vision. i love 90civicrider's car. would i paint my car orange and airbrush cartoons on the side like he did? hell no! but i give him mad props because that is EXACTLY what he said he was going to do....down to the orange and white interior. i love dropshop's car because it's jdm delight plus a 10psi zc putting 257whp down. when someone asks what engine they should swap i don't auto answer d16y8 like you do b16. i ask some questions to see what is better suited for them.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. Yes, the hood is real carbon fiber, it weighs about a third of what the stock one does. Totally funtional. The rims? Ya, they're a Mugen knock-off, but they're still very light 16" wheels for the price they can't be beat. Plus I like the way they look. Pretty much 99% of my mods on my car are fully functional.. I rarley do something just for a look.
I personally think that my car is a pretty complete package. Actually, to me it is the complete package. It has a pretty decent sounding stereo, really nice paint job, to me it looks perfect (could be a little lower, but I live with tha hicks), its handles very well, it accelerates quickly. The only thing I'm really missing is a comfortable ride, but I give that all up for the lowrider. :)

Ami. First off, breathe. You need to calm your little self a bit. I didn't mean that because you have a SOHC that you don't have right to opinion on what makes a car better than another. What you were implying and saying to me in your posts that I have no right to judge any car that is faster than mine, and that is a farce. You and I both know it. There are rusty 1986 Cavaliers out there that would smoke my car, but they're still nasty shit boxes either way you look at it.

I don't diss on anybodys car just because it isn't "jdm" :rolleyes:. There's nothing even JDM about my car. I just prefer cars with a cleaner look. I prefer to support those who don't have the need to do drastic things to thier cars for a desperate cry for attention. I appriciate all cleanly modded cars on this site.. I think its GTA that I remember giving props on his car and all he has that you can see is a drop I think. I just love the shape of these cars, it looks srewed up to me if its altered, but so nice to me if its lowered. ;) If I think something is nasty, I'll fuckin' say it. There's no stopping me, and there's no reason that I should be stopped, just as no one will stop you from saying what you think and feel. I'm entitled to an opion, and if you don't want to hear it you have two options:
1) Don't ask for one in the first place.
2) USE YOUR HEAD and just ignore it!

As far as I can remember, I'll never just go diss on someone with a ZC swap, or SOHC VTEC. I've had the ZC, I try and help people with their ZC questions when they ask. I don't hate like that.
The only time I can remember getting into a conversation silmilar to that is when some kids like "Ya, mah ZC is guna be a B serieZ killaH! when I git it in", then I engage in a little conversation. :) I'm just head checking people, if its real and its in I know when to pipe down, but any conversation I've ever got into on this board about crap like that is nothing EVER but talk.

See I'm not as lucky as you, I just can't like everything, so I say what I feel about it. Why does that get everyone so worked up? You think people don't say negative shit sometimes about my car and the stuff I do? Of course they do, life is full of haters and its not even that they are haters, just people with different opinions than you own.
