if anyone can help me it would be appreciated:
i've seen several posts about jeeps stalling mine is a 1996 jeep GC laredo
and when the engine is first started it runs fine, however when it is heated up it will stall once i let off of the accelerator.I then must start it up again and quikly put in gear.i noticed it stalls in drive but if i put the shifter on 2 it will run without stalling even when decellerating. i don't wanna drive around in 2 so if anyone knows why the stalling occurs it would be great.also this happened to me about a year ago.when i replaced the battery though it quit happening but the voltage guage in my car registers 14 and it seems ok.Any help is greatly appreciated.

try changing the iac motor first and cleaning the throttle body.

iac motor = idle air control valve, ~$50. throttle plate is what the iac opens and closes to modify the air intake at idle.
