A-Spec RSX-S

Anyone driven one? I'm wondering if it's worth the bucks. I'd actually like to do just the suspension part and not the cosmetics. The only reason I'd go with the factory stuff is to keep the warrantee intact.

does the A-Spec have any advantages engine performancewise?

if u just want tighter handling, the best is comptec, but they are really expensive, i'd go with neuspeed, with respect to strut tie bars, upper, front and rear. if you want to lower the vehicle, i'd go with tein ss coilovers....like it was said in another thread, if ur gonna do it, do it once and do it right.

The intent is to keep the warrantee intact.

If you modify the suspension or the body that won't void your warranty for the whole vehicle only for the parts you have replaced and what they affect. Say for example if you put a CAI on your vehicle and then you have valve problems, they are not going to refuse to fix it because you installed an aftermarket CAI. And if they do. Get a lawyer! :P

Exactly. I want to keep the entire warrantee intact. No I don't want to get a lawyer.

I think the only difference is that it has all the spoilers, nicer wheels, and a tighter suspension

yeah, it makes it look so much nicer though IMO. So no engine upgrades? hmm I dont know if that is worth 7k then

well doesnt it also have an upgraded exhaust? thats what they said when i went to the dealership over here and it was $31,000

ok so there is a body kit, the spoiler, an upgraded exahust, better suspension, nicer rims, and thats it? The thing is though, it looks so much nicer than a normal rsx, I just dont know what it is that makes it look so much nicer

A-spec is basically an appearance package, with some lowering springs thrown in. It's not worth the price of the package and the labor charge on top of it.

its basically just suspension work, brakes, a body kit, and larger wheels. what they are doing is turning your RSX-s into the type R without a type R motor. i believe in these parts that is called RICE. my .02

Na, I'm pretty sure its only look mods. No engine/performance ones other than the suspension if u consider that performance.

Nope, you cant part out any of it. Its either all or none.

The A-Spec package is really pointless. I bought my 03 and got the OEM lip kit and the OEM spoiler (smaller one) with mechanical breakdown insurance, gap insurance, and lo-jack all for 27k after taxes, and license. I later sold my OEM spoiler for 130 and bought a replica wings west for 180, and bought coilover sleeves for 300... Even if you bought the best that you can it would still not make sense to get the A-spec package... because you figure the car is 23,000 plus the 1300 for the lip kit and then 1200 for tein's... thats only 25500 so you still are below 30k...

ehh whatever.

Personally I think they rip you on the A-Spec and the older Factory performance Package. Take the money and buy some real parts. P.S. If any of you get that wing put on the back I'd be happy to bash it off your car!!! ;)

If the A-Spec is like the Integra Type-R's Engine...then it might be a deal, or else, just robbing our money. Also, can the A-Spec installed on a base RSX?
