I wonder how the car would react to a full turbo-back exhaust, intake and BC. ECU tuning is in order, i'm sure, but i bet it responds a whole lot better than the WRX.

more than twice the power of a *stock* skyline, but i'd be interested to hear from anybody that thinks the STi would beat out an R34 in end potential.

ye, a skyline with 1000), unbeatable, maybe just a supra

haha.. you got skylines overrated. Stock Skylines are as fast as Evos and Imprezas. Everybody thinks they're super cars because they're pretty fast and they look amazing. I think STis have more potential than skylines.

STis have more potential than Skylines? That's just stupid. I'm not even going to go into why, but anybody who knows up from down in the car world knows exactly what I'm saying.

HAHA STi's will never compare to any skyline. For one, there are skylines that push well over 1000hp, STi imprezas will never achieve that. Two, skylines stock can compete with any supercar in the world. You guys look at JDM specs that say 280bhp, that's their max limit of horsepower in japan by law. Doesnt mean they dont go over it. After tuning the turbos back to "stock" they achieve 750bhp from factory floors. 750bhp on a car that weighs 3400lbs comes out to a 10.13sec 1/4 mile. You can do the math.

dude they skyline has been around since the early 60's. the WRX is barely ten years old. give them time and they can achieve 1,000hp. wat do u mean tuning the turbos back to stock.

Just like the Supra, the Skyline is limited heavily by the factory. Even by removing limitations installed in the factory, you can add a ridiculous amount of power.

uhh, noo....
By removing the intake restrictor and adding a good exhaust system GTR's will dyno 300-350 to the wheels, which is good enough to push it into the mid-high 12's. 750 hp cannot be achieved without pretty heavy mods, and neither can 10 second 1/4's. And there are quite a few cars out there that will outdo a GTR. Hell a $50,000 Z06 is a pretty even competition.

lol heavy mods? Internals dont even have to be replaced, some exhaust turbo boosting and maybe a better intake and you will achieve the 750hp. Mines skyline still retains pretty much all stock parts, even the stock airboxes and just puts larger turbos and different intercooler to achieve this.

Essentially, the bottom end of the Supra and Skyline are both capable of supporting 1000 wheel horsepower. You would do so with an enormous turbo, large intercooler, low-restriction exhaust, completely reworked fuel system and a completely retuned ECU. I've seen it done on both cars. Stock transmissions (other than the clutch, of course) and stock bottom ends. The only internal work would be valvetrain modifications.
And ragnarok, putting a "better intake" and performing "some exhaust turbo boosting" (which I assume means a boost controller with a turbo-back exhaust) will NOT put a Skyline to 750bhp.
I find it interesting that you've changed your argument from "tuning the turbos back to stock... from factory floors" to "some exhaust turbo boosting and maybe a better intake." I'm dying to know where you're going to go with it next. Take your lumps on this one.
