Choosing the right car is the toughest thing. Also, you have to look at what is actually available in your area. Good luck in your search.

The MOPARs are definitely different, but restoration parts can be hard to find. Chevys are pretty common and easy to get parts for, but they tend to cost more. For me, I would probably lean towards the Charger.

FYI challengers started in 1970-1974
A hemi challnger is into $80-150,000
All these cars have the ability to accept larger engines so if you find a 318 car, swap in a 440 if you like.

the car you choose depends on how uniqe you are. if you decide to go mopar they are expensive but not to many people have them. if you with the camaro they are cheaper on parts but they are all over the place. my preferencewould be 68 or 69 charger. good hunting

To be different , Over the years I have had my share of 69 440 6pk roadrunners,340 Dusters, 70 440 6pk super bee, 68 383 super bee and really have grown to love them all. Like mentioned by others, some of the other brands may have more popularity and easier to come by parts but there just is something about a big block Mopar. The E body cars are the ones mostly sought after because you can shove a Hemi in it for pretty nice Hemi Cuda or 440 6pk look alike. You can't lose with any of them.

Go with a Mopar! Everything else is a dime-a-dozen. Go with a '68 charger. It's the best year charger, IMO. Mopars are more expensive, but well worth it. Don't get me wrong, a '69 Camaro is a beautiful car, but they are everywhere. When you go to car shows, there are always a hundred Chevys and Fords. Be unique. :2cents:

You're talking big money right know. All those cars (except the Camaro) are all high dollar cars. And you should start reading and studing up on your Mopar Facts. If you guy by what this crowd says, and you do buy a Mopar. More than likely, it will bite you in the ass. I mean by that, Mopar parts aren't as pentiful, and most of the time don't fit.(Usually the factory screws it up) For example, I just recieve this head liner from a Barracuda for a Barrcuda, and it doesn't fit. The bows are too long, and the head liner itself it huge. But just thinking about it, it must've came off a Challenger. So yeah, stick with what you know.

yea man, plus my dad was telling me that the problem with some GM cars (AKA chevy Pontiac, yada yadad yada)'s keys will fit into just about every other GM car. Personally I like the 68 charger and the 70 roadrunner, but I can't complain cuz we've got the 70 roadrunner and the 70 charger in our garage :D

To offset the cost of Mopar Parts, engines, check with www.southeastperformance.com There is some fair pricing here and although they cover all the makes, they seem go the extra mile for the Mopar crowd. I got my ported heads here and picked up over 75 HP.

Dude, if you have 2 mopars already, why do you want a Chevy, or any GM car? A Mopar can wipe the floor off of any GM car, and A mopar is a kind of car you don't let your girlfriend have to the keys to, but for a GM, you'll probably make a second set for her.

LOL, who me!??? Sorry my sk8ter friend, but I don't own a GM and don't think I plan on it. The Charger and the Roadrunner are my dad and me's sacred cars, and we don't let ne one but ourselves touch em'. My mom however has a 1972 volvo P1800 E, and she can fuck with that car all she wants... long story short camacho's the one who'se trying to decide

Volvo P1800? Cool! Great looking car! A little better looking than its 1800ES sibling, which is the only station wagon ever to be truly beautiful.
