Hmmm, I was changing around shocks with my Tamiya Supra, and was cutting plastic (with scissors.) And cut open my left flip-off finger! It's my most valuable finger! It needed two stitches and its making typing and other stuff hard that normally wouldn't be. It hurt like hell too! I've gotten a big 15 stitch on my side (different story) and it didn't hurt nearly as bad. I think its cause a lot of nerves are in your hands. But hey! I didn't cry! Don't use scissors to cut plastic guys!

it is typical in our hobby... Usually it happens just after you have changed the old blade with a new one...

Ouch, hands and fingers hurt when whacked. I have cut the tip off of one with a hedge trimmer, several exacto surgeries toi the bone, dremeled my index finger to the bone, filleted my palm with a kitchen knife. It will heal okay, just remember the next time won't hurt any less

SISSY!!! J/K :D
I cut my left thumb to the bone with a fresh X-acto blade trying to remove the fender from a '64 GTO 11 years ago. It severly damaged a nerve and came within 2 millimeters of the artery. And I got no stitches :iceslolan . Doc said there was nothing he could do to repair the damage to my nerve and the cut was so clean that stitches was not nessesary, so he applied 2 butterfly bandages, wrapped it up good, and sent me on my way. To this day I still can't feel half my thumb.

I usually got some cuts on my hands and fingers from an exacto, but never as bad as what I did some weeks ago. Using a file knife, yes file knife, to slice some plastic and put a half-inch long 1/16'' deep gash in my left thumb, 4 stitches and a lolipop and I was on my way home.

Same thing happend to me, but with an exacto knife, and it was on my left pointer finger, i cut to the bone, and the doc said i scratched my bone a bit aswell, it took 7 kneedles and 2 stitches, the first stitch wasnt frozen (hurt like a mother fawkir)
It actually healed rather quickly, and three days before i was to go and get the stitches out i removed them in inglish class with my buddies leatherman. :icon16: redneck style :iceslolan

That does hurt pretty bad. I've cut my hands and stuff so much it isn't even funny anymore. Buck knifes, siccisors, etc. Anything used to cut, I've probably cut myself with it.

I slipped with a pinvice a couple nights ago slid right into my index finger and by the looks of it, hit the bone. There is a red line of blood visible through the skin on my finger which near on reaches the centre on my finger.

racemySS, dude we're hand twins! It's just that I don't have that scar..
I've cut myself manytimes while modeling, but never asked a doc for stiches, or any help.. only one real visable scar after a little fight with Mr. #11 blade, the rest seem to have healed to look like nothing happened.

I was cutting a part of a sprue with an EXTREMELY sharp new scalpel and watching my bro playing Gamecube. Big mistake.
Sliced a 3cm cut down my thumb, had to go to hospital, was half in shock the way there...and all this on christmas day....
But the cut or the stitches didnt hurt nearly as much as the local anesthetic. Im extremely careful so i dont have to get another local. I was so close to passing out when he gave me that needle.
Anyway...hope you have a speedy recovery and a safe future. =P

I feel so left out. I've never had any hobby related mishaps with knives, cutters, scissors. But I just bought new exacto blades, so there is still hope.

When I sliced my thumb open, I didn't cry, just looked at it for a second and then came the blood and I said, oh fuk! Imagine, trying to drive a 5spd, on the street at night, with all the old people driving 25 in a 35 and your about to pass out. I'm glad I got myself there in one piece.

I was cutting a part and my scalpel slipped, got a 1cm deep cut in my leg at least 6 months ago, still hasn't healed properly, didn't bother with stitches, perhaps I should've done.
