Steering problems

Hi, I have a steering problem with my Toyota Corolla, basically it feels as if the steering is "loose". When I go over bumps etc in the road I feel them more than I used too. If feels unstable as if it "wanders" a little. There are no strange noises and it doesn't pull in either direction particularly. Nor is it particularly shaking (you know like the tracking needs doing). I have taken it to two garages who have both stated no problems. However I think you know yourself when something is not quite right. I feel I am driving more steadily as I do not have the confidence to go faster. Please Please give me some advice. I love my car but find my confidence in it is now lacking. What do you think?

:eek: have they checked your shockers,or the rear mounting bushes?
are your tyres a little worn/correct pressure? all these give the symptoms you describe.
