Why a GTSt, just because it looks like a GTR, it is not a GTR. There is no way that I would import a GTSt, and pay the legalizing fees. I own both, don't even bother with a GTSt.
Don't get me wrong, I love my GTSt, but the dollar you might as well buy a TT Supra.

Mmm. I do suppose SkylineUSA, we can get him a legal GTR R-32 for 25g, and R33 for 37-39g. But GTS-T would be 8500 for race use only, so legal would be like 19 methinks. Shoot me at nismolmr@aol.com if you are interester noyorol

Also, all our prices include all the dirty, work, dig? So all they have to do is drive it. Its not bad huh?

question guys, would it be easier to import the GTSt and then drop in a gtr engine?? or is that not the only difference? im a mazda guy new in the skyline scene but ive seen them perform and they have piqued my curiosity. When you say drive it ? you mean drive it away, where are you guys located? west coast ? C-ya 'round. ~nemeii~

Ok. here are some of the differences:
GTR: RB26DETT engine (Racing Built 2598cc Dual cam ECCS {Electronic Concentrate Control System} Twin Turbochargers), which Nissan says pumps out 280hp. But it really pushes about 300. 4WD ATTESSA, HICAS (HIgh Capacity Active Steering) and note: that the GTR is Nissans Signiture model, so it will be built with care, and made to look much much nicer than GTS. Bullet proof cast iron block... mmmmm, power. haha.
GTS: RB20DET engine, which pushes about 210hp out, RWD lay-out.
GTS-25T: RB25DET engine, pushing about 260hp, RWD lay-out, nicer than the GTS, NICE car.
Personally I would like to get a R33 GTS shell, and drop in an RB26DETT drivetrain, RWD with power of GTR. Thats my idea of a unique sports car! Haha. Theres what I have to say in a nut shell.
(Note: If any of my information is off by a little bit, or off by a monsterous amount, please correct me in a kind fashion, we dont need anymore arguing and blow-ups on this forum.)

There is a big difference between the two cars. You can get more than engough power out of the rb20det that the rear wheels will not be able to handle as well.
A GTSt is not an option if it were me.

amazing work boys.
first, this thread should be in the "want to buy" forum.
second, you should be contacting motorex or sean morris at www.rbmotoring.com for pricing on skylines in the states, provided that that is where you are.
there's no reason you couldn't get a gts-t legalized in the states.
i'd recommend PM'ing Tyndago (sean) or going to his site for more information if you're in the US.
then start looking for used skylines in the states via ebay, etc. have fun with that...
if you want to play, you've got to pay, and i recommend sean or motorex to get a LEGAL car.

Well yea, hes right basically. What we do at Night Szevyn Racing is ussually we would just send the car through our RI. But in a case of if we were selling an R34, we would send her through MotoRex (due to they're one of the only RI's that have a handle on the OBDII crisis). So we can get you the car no problem, and legalized too. But like he said, if you have the money, you sure have my attention. haha. And even if you dont, I will still answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for making a good, and valid point Flylwsi. You could also IM Sean at RB Motoring on AIM. But ussually thats Victor on there, so just PM him I guess. Thanks for making the point man :p . Peace

hey guys thanx a bunch , hehe no i dont have the ca$h yet however eventually i will im guessing within the next 6 months hopefully, but hey if you guys dont mind talking tech, he11 yeah i have tons of questions. the RB26DETT would be the strongest stock engine ?
you say cast iron block? this is why i have heard rumors they are mucho front heavy can an alumionum block be obtained ? or can it not take the jdm power generated?
They are all not 4WD ???? ack!! that ruined my plan ::sigh:: i think i need more money than planned, how much you guys say the r32 gtr go for??
well thats all for now ill talk to you guys later thanx a bunch 4 the info.

"the RB26DETT would be the strongest stock engine?" Compaered to what? Strongest engine meaning? I have seen that they do last a long time, for their output power. But they are not indestructible. I can easily build another type of engine and have the same output.
Its heavy, because of the fact that it has turbos, and the AWD. The AWD is very heavy. Not to mention the front solenoids for the HICAS weigh a good amount and they are located in the engine compartment.

Why wouldnt a RWD layout be good? Thats my dream car! (soon to be built hopefully) R34 RB26DETT RWD beast... why not? Thing would kick it! Less weight than the 4WD lay-out, not as much traction, but still... RB26DETT*

eh ?? stereotype? you mean ?? me? oooooook. well anyway i know i need do more research why do you think im here??,lol yeah well anyway i think the AWD is better for handling , the RWD is definitly great especially for straight runs but i still think AWD has the drift advantage around turns, Do they all have all wheel steering ?? or is that just the AWD models? i guess after this post mabye ill start a new thread so we dont clog up the "want to buy aspect" :icon16: peace thanx for the info...

Ya, start another one, please;)
Both type of drive trains have there advantages. It just depends on what you want out of the car.

yeah, you know i always got the goods...
i've got more pics like that on my page, linked in the sig...
in regards to a rwd skyline, i'd totally take one...
They are all not 4WD ???? ack!! that ruined my plan
plan for what?
having an awd car?
it's not necessary to have awd, and the car would be lighter, which, for the skyline, would be good, b/c it's a bit porky...

It's a shame that such a beautiful car, is so damn heavy. So logical thing to do is make it RWD. Thats what NISMO did with their LM Skyline GTR. Also partially due to the Le Mans regualtions (I think) but this saved wieght as well. Man If you want me to create you a cool pic for your Supra, send me some action/motion photos, That whole inverted simple AOL modified shit is annoying me. haha. I would have posted some of my work on here, but people have a nac for stealing it, and me finding it a week later on some website with some kid claiming its HIS work... I really need to figure out the "watermark" function. hehe. peace
flylwsi
11-29-2003, 01:24 PM
it's rwd WHOLELY due to the regulations of LeMans.
they don't allow awd cars...
not my supra... watermarking is easy, and it can be done in most photo-editing programs...
i've been trying to watermark in photoshop, etc. and i can't get it to work.
i know that in adobe illustrator, you can create a watermark, and include it in the background of your image...
i guess we could check the photo-editing forum for the answer on this one...

Well I know you can, but im not sure what it does? If it just adds your logo, then hell, I can do that with simple editing. I have many design programs though, and let me tell you that Adobe Photoshop 7.0 is by far, the must unappealing to use. I think that 5.5 is much better. I will send you some of my work through your E-Mail if you would like? I'm pretty proud of t personally. But yea, If you really want to design some sick things, go buy Maya (if you can find it anywhere... It's the program that Pixar used to create all of the disney films, and its what 2f2f used in small parts of the film for animation.) I've created some sick rides on there, including my Exotic version of a 300ZX, and my own series of Exotic vehicles... My own unique designs, engines, suspensions, everything. It's fun. But now I need patents, but I'd rather have a CAR, than have patents (hence: Its not cheap). wow, what were we talking about? haha. peace

You can go to her website www.Allen-Brown.com I believe they have cost chart.
If you call around and get some quotes, I am positive my wife can beat it. She cannot do it for free, but like I said, she can cut you a better deal than anyone else.
