I'm in the midle of changing the pads on my 98 jetta VR6, the front was easy, and the rear piston on the caliper will not compres? Is there a trick that I need to know. I already took the cap off the resivor to releave the pressure, however the caliper piston will not even budge.

you need to turn the piston clockwise inwards, grips should do the job, but expect some difficulty.there is a tool to do it on sale generally.

hey thanks for the reply! Yah my Local VW mechanic and friend let me barrow it. I wanted to figure it out first, however I had to break down and call him for help. Thanks again. By the way, that tool works great and saves so much time and headache!
