Hi Guys

Im about to comple my first model after a 2 year break, and it felt great to finally finish one, i will post pics up once i finish some minor polishing and other bits.

This was a trial run before i start any big projects, im a little rusty in some places but im pretty happy the way it turned out, anyway its got me thinkin of maybe droping an engine into one of these Fujimi kits. I have a spare Tamiya GT4 kit at home and i can use the 3SGTE engine out of it and scratch build the whole rear end of the car, I own a 95 GEN 4 MR2 Turbo so at least i got something to refer to, I did a search and couldnt find if anyone out there has ever atempted to do this. any thoughts??

Most of you guys seems to know your Fujimi kits, the one that i built is actually the Glimited version GEN 1&2(NA) where the engine lid is flat even though fujimi packaging states that it was a GT, compared to the Turbo version which is raised, does Fujimi still make the MR2 GT T Top? so i can match the correct engine lid.

Nice MR-2! Well, to answer your question.. after Fujimi started molding the Initial D models, these bodies were just thrown in all their other MR-2 kits.

Thanks for the comments guys, i was pleasantly surprised how it turned out since i havent really touched a model in years, but now i got lots of ideas and projects , i hope to contribute some of my work in the future.

The engine conversion is still in the planning stages, it wont be going on this model, this was just a quickie to get me back building again.

i also need to track down the right mr2 kit for the conversion since i want to model a GT Turbo but as far as i know fujimi no longer produces this kit since the front bar and rear engine cover are different to whats produced now.

really, Fujimi stopped making the Turbo MR2 bodies. i nearly ruined mine and was thinking of chucking it and getting another kit, but i think ill keep it now.

use the PM feature next time, bringing up old threads, especially 1 year old is a :nono:

Well, it's encouraged to bring up old posts to make contributions to it, but when the question is answered in so many other places, it's a nono.

Suprised to see this one pop up again, since i havent had much time of late to complete other projects. ive still got another MR2 this time with full engine detail, opened doors,etc... its currently stalled and hoping to get the ball rolling again.

hksmr2rbo: to answer your question, the seats were from a Fujimi Integra Type R kit. cheers
