ok guys ive got a 96 civic coupe ex, but with a b18c motor. Now i plan on getting a dc sport header. Problem is the down pipe on the header comes to 2.5piping where it hooks up the cat, but now my cat has a 2.25inch piping, so will i have to get high flow cat w/ 2.5inch inlet???

i've got a 95 civic/gsr and i got the d/c 4-1 header, when you get it you realize that the header stops short of the cat by about 8 inches, take it to a shop and you have to get a section welded in, it cost me 50 bucks, no worries.

I have been told that highflow cats are a waste of money. They dont add but about a few horsepower for the $$ so it could be spent on something else that will bring better rewards in HP!

Just to answer the question.........The DC header to a cat convertor will be fine. You should have no problems.
Ive been running my DC header to stock cat to greddy evo just fine.
A hi flo cat would be useful too, but it is basically just a testpipe anyways. keep that in mind if buying one.
