I just came home from my local hobby shop...and this is what I brought:smoker2:
All Tamiya products
1)Arai Version Impreza WRC 2000
2)Rubbing/Polishing Compound
3)Finishing abrasive set Ultra-fine
4)TS-50 Mica Blue (for the Impreza)
AND NOW I'M BROKE! The weird thing is, I don't even know what's the use of #2 and 3. Can someone tell/teach me.:p

There is a link at the top of this forum of car modeling tips. I recommend you read through that completely as there is a wealth of informantion.
#2 is used to shine up the car at the end of painting assembly. Definitely the very last thing that you do upon completion of making the model and making sure the paint has completely set.
#3 is for sanding things down. Ultra fine would be for cases where you are using putty to either fill or make custom sections on a car and need to sand it down to a fine smooth finish.
As for the help, you're stuck in this just like we are. There is no hope, rehab, or turning back. Muahahahahaha:devil:

The polish is used after or before the clear coat??

Polish after clearcoat, but before spraying or painting window rubbers or any other external detail.
The clear coat can affect decals, be careful! You will also affect the decals if you are stupid enough to rub through the clear coat and down to the decal! Again, be careful! Looks great when done though!
