Eco-terrorism once confined to a few attacks in rural areas, particularly in the Pacific Northwest, has become a nationwide danger. As the AP explains, a "sabotage campaign by the nation's most radical environmental group has moved from the countryside to the doorstep of the nation's biggest cities." The group believed to be behind the attacks is described as "the FBI's No. 1 domestic terrorism priority." However, although the term "eco-terrorism" has become commonplace, it is increasingly a misnomer since the attacks are not in support of or for the benefit of the environment. As one expert notes, the terrorist group has been "moving from a save-the-wilderness focus to an anti-capitalist focus." Thus, the attacks are being committed by what is simply a violent radical group. They deserve none of the sympathy or good will accorded to environmentalists.

My Aunt's Honda CRV gets 24 MPG... and that # gets worse once you put 6 people in the car. Now THERE is a gas guzzler! These extremists should be targeting Hondas that have an "eco" image yet get lame mileage.

Course not, because they're not environmentalists - they're vandals (who make up reasons to justify their destruction in their minds)
