Coolant Jug - wiring

after all my temp, gas guages, etc stopped working on my 02 Jetta GLI. It took a couple of weeks to get it into service in Ithaca. Turns out the coolant jug leaked some - not enough to be noticable though...
Anyway it leaked onto the wiring harness and fried all kinds of wiring. Everything from the jug, to the instrument cluster, to the wiring harness and a few other things all had to go. Still waiting for it to come out of its second appointment on this matter.
All in all - in my year plus experience with the VW I can only say dissatisfied - even if it is fun to drive. Engine coils, shitty in snow, cheap doors et al.
