The thing that I don't understand about PETA is they're always preaching vegetarianism, but they always diss animal cruelty, not meat eating itself.

Supposedly, torturing/scaring the animal before killing makes the meat more tender. :dunno:

The thing that I don't understand about PETA is they're always preaching vegetarianism, but they always diss animal cruelty, not meat eating itself.
Mainly because of the fact that it's a reality that animals used for large-scale food production are treated poorly. So, they want people to boycot these corporations that perpetrate the abuse, and unless you own a farm and raise your own meat, you don't know that the meat you're eating didn't come from mistreated animals.
But using animals for food has become just like anything else these days. A Business. And what everyone knows is that, for any business to make a profit (which is the sole purpose of a business), they have to cut corners, streamline their processes, keep their costs low, and constantly find ways to increase their production numbers. Unfortunately, in this industry, animals suffer because of those goals. But no filthy-rich business-men are going to suddenly grow a conscience and take a financial hit because of it... They're too busy making money.

What do I care what are done to the animals before we consume them? I like my animals dead and cooked and hopefully a little scared.
I've seen my fill of this dumb PETA crap. Animals get killed all of the time in the wild in truly horrible ways but I don't see PETA trying to destroy wolves and bears simply because they kill animals violently. Just stop wasting our time with this stuff....

:lol2: Anything that PETA does makes me laugh and this is no exception. I'm thinking their little movie is exaggerated. I just always remember this quote and keep it close to my heart:
"There's plenty of room for all God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes."

Peta has a right to make whatever kind of ads they want. They are just trying to make people not eat meat, and go vegatarian. I mean don't get me wrong i like my meat, but animals feel pain too.....They shouldnt have to be slaughtered, theres other shit to eat :headshake

i know he didn't mean me. i'm sorry, but i love animals so much. i only eat chicken. it really has nothing to do with animal cruelty either. i'm just not a big fan of pork, fish or beef, etc. eat all the meat you want, by all means. i just don't like the way they do things. ya know? sorry, i guess that was a little harsh how i said it, but i'm real touchy about it.
