got caught! rex vs. rex

i had left my my gf's house, and we had been fussing, so i decided to just go drive around and cool off. well i was going down the road and i came upon a blue crx all hooked up....(i have a hooked up yellow rex)....well i got beside him, doing about 40 and we looked at each other and dropped it. he had me for maybe a second and then i just pulled away from him. i was still pulling him when i slowed down and he slowed down and he asked what i had and i told him a zc, and he said he had a single non vtec. he was like once more and i was like sure..... we slowed and let track pass and dropped it again and same outcome. well we were pulling to a redlight and (i swear outta nowhere) blue lights come up behind us. the cop got on the speaker and told us not to go anywhere. the cop came and got both our license and told us to both pull into that parking lot. the cop came and got out registration and insurance (im not gonna get into the detail of the conversation with the cop). while we were sitting there 2 more cop cars pulled up. after about 15 mins the cop came back and told us to both get out of the car. he explained the ticket and the fine, and told talked a lil more. he gave us a ticket for wreckless driving, (6 points) and a $512 fine. he said when he turned around we were doing 60 in a 45, and when he caught up to us and clocked us again, we were doing 80 in a 45. so we both left and went our seperate ways.

OUCH! man! You got half your points wiped out, plus a fine high enough to probably buy some serious performance! You shoulda kiss-ass and made it up to your gurl man, it's way cheaper then pulling off something like that.

LOL while the cop was running my license and everything, i called my girl and told ehr never to let me leave her house pissed again LOL

yeah, i got a ticket but still won both times hehe

if i was you id concider it a lose. pay like a dollar over the ticket and when you get the check for the dollar over throw it away and dont cash it so the points dont go on your license cause all financial transactions are not completed

About points here is a little story. I was coming back from Rodchester NY and I was actually in my girlfriends Pontiac Bonneville (88) anyway its actually just a roomier car we had 4 people and I have a two door civic. Anyway I like to drive so I always drive, well it is a 6 hr drive and on the way back my girl drove for 1.5 hrs then I drove. Now I have to admit my stock civic has a little competetion (a bit better pickup for a sec or two) with her old beatup V6 so when I drive her car its easy to go faster then you think you are going. Well after driving 4.5 hrs I saw my exit and I couldnt merge over (the entire trip I drove in the fast lane at times the speedometer didnt even read on the gauge (it only goes up to 85)) So we all got excited so I decieded to speed up to pass the truckers and then I shot over a hill at what the cop said was 87 to get to my exit. He pulled me over on the exit ramp and gave me a ticket for 260 somthing and when I went to court the cop said if I would agree to 80 in a 65 I said yes because I was speeding yet this was my first ticket ever. The judge said ok and reduced the fine to like 180 and took the points from 5 down to 3. Yet haha I am a maryland resident yet I am currently living in PA so the points did not transfer!! Thats one way of getting out of points. I am kinda curious though when I do transfer my liscense and insurance to PA will those points be there waiting for me?

If you haven't paid the ticket yet, just do what I've done for every speeding ticket I've ever gotten. 4 easy steps as follows:

1) Find a good lawyer (or one who is in good with all the judges and the DA. Ask friends, co-workers, check the yellow pages.
2) Give him $150 and the ticket.
3) Watch the ticket magically disappear.
4) Get a good radar detector.

The money you'll spend on the lawyer fees ($150 for mine, price varies by lawyer and/or ticket) plus a good radar detector ($400 for a Valentine One: get it on eBay for a good price) will probably be less than the ticket fine plus the amount your insurance will go up once they find out. And they will.....

Not too sure how radar detectors work in the states...im in ontario and Had mine about 2 years before the cops here upgraded.. I was in the middle of nowhere around 1am doing the speed limit...only car on the road was the cop comming towards me..

i have a similar story to the first one i was at the local chevron and a 00civic si is pumping gas at the same time as me just right across from me i couldnt see the owner but when i seen her she was just the hottest blonde you could think of (i was really in to her since she has a hooked up car)anyways i got her number cause she wanted a paint job (she had the red si color)anyways we left at about the same time and right out of the exit is a stop lightso i pulledd up next to her and mildly revved my engine(2000rpm)and she started reving hers and i could hear her supercharger so clear (my gsr has a turbo btw)so i revved any ways our take of was about the same so was 2nd gear but once i hit the 3rd gear i pulled away quickly she was a bout 4 cars behind me and i saw the flashing lights and my mexican instincts automatically turn on and i ran i made the next turn and got away(pheew!)anyways 3 days later the girl comes into my dads shop for an estimate well when she was leaving i said hi! and she started laughing and saying that she got pulled over and got a 300 somthin dollar ticket anways i forgot my dad was behind me and he heard everything so i got in trouble by that law(parents law,im only 17) so yeah thats my story.

well there is a course here that u can take, not sure if its offered anywhere else, but its a defensive driving course. its an 8 hr course, it only cots $59 and u get 4 points back. so i am going to do that and atleast get 4 points back.....and my next thing is get a radr detector lol

They offered a defensive driving course at my job for all employees that drive hotel vehicles (actually, it was mandatory). Kinda sucked sitting there for the day, it was sooooo nice out. But it was like taking the real course, discounts and all, plus the hotel paid for it. And to set a good example for the rest of the class, me and a few buddies went back to the "bellhouse" (so named because half the bellmen lived there at the time) on the lunch break and finished the keg from the night before. Good times.....

And definitely check the local laws regarding radar detectors. You don't want to invest in a good one thinking it will save you in the long run, only to cause more trouble with the cops. $285, that hurts!

I think the radar detectors are only illegal in like 2 states? possibly west virginia? and one other, but i can't remember right now.
