speaker box question

ok i have a civic hatch and i just bought one 10" infinity and an amp to power it. im ready to make the box but i dont know what type of wood to use. is there a certain type? or a type that is just better than others? also does anyone have any advice on what shape/size of box would sound best with this speaker? (its not the perfect 10 its the 1030W or watever 250Watts rms)

use 3/4" MDF (medium density fiberboard), and build it so that the internal volume of the box matches the specs for the sub.

It also depends if you wanna go sealed or ported. Check out termpro.com for lots of info.
