Talon Rim Problem

Just the other day i ruined my front driver side rim and tire in a nice Pot/Chuck hole. I live in Detroit, i am now convinced that we have the worst roads in america. I had a headach from it and my ass hurts.
Anyway, the rim itself was fine but it's the lip area thats FUBAR. It's a two peice style with the soft lip added on last. Are the Mitsu rims any better?

Dam straight, i live there too IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't get a bodykit cause of that.
