dunno if this has been on here b4.....but a 50 lap race between Schumacher in his F1 car and Rossi in his SuperBike.....which would win...

race conditions are perfect....no break downs.......fuel is enough for both to complete race......which in your opinion would win...

Hmm the car would definately win over and over and over again, I've seen a video from Top Gear of a Carerra 4s beating a super bike on track. I think you can get it off Kazaa.

The only way to win the race is to always be in front. But overall, Schumacher would win.

The bike has the accleration, but the car has the top speed, the record speed for a bike is a little over 200 mph is it not? I wouldn't think even race bike come too close to that speed even when racing.

LMAo @ Oz's response.

I dont think I would enjoy having to ride a bike for 50 laps.

I say the car.

Like someone said, bike has the accelleration without a doubt, but with top-end... Cars own. I dunno, You can't lean a car into a turn, that's fo-sho. Sadly, the car might just win.

Schumacher runs over Rossi in first lap, end of story.

This question can not be answered with out knowing what kind of track.

track is a typical racing circuit ...for arguments sake lets say it was Silverstone where F1 cars race and Moto GPs......so both are used to the circuit

These are just times pulled off random websites for Silverstone... the Car clearly wins by these times... :icon16:

If Bernie Ecclestone doesn't win,it won't happen.

Schumacher's Ferrari F333 would EAT up that superbike and a car would win against a bike unless the bike was a fast one, and i'm talking about a Gixxer.

F333?

Um, I think the numbers for the '04 R1 actually are better than the GSX1000R. Not sure, so don't quote me on it, but I remember hearing something like that. Damn shame b/c the R1 isn't all that exciting... but then again, the 1000R (and infact all the gsxr's) are looking more and more like the Busa... Damn stacked headlights.

It's all about lateral forces... even the best motogp bike is unlikely to pull much more than 1 G during cornering or acceleration whereas an F1 machine is going to able to achieve over a couple of Gs.

yup correct....the car would be pulling around 4 Gs round the corners where as the bikes owuld be strugglin to get near the 1g mark.....

according to the guy who worked all this out.....the bikes also loose a lot of time when havin to lean in and out of corners whereas a car doesn't have to do that.....

and according to them in this race teh car would win by around 15 laps...

When my Kit car was running I used to follow bikes down the coast road from Clevdon to Thames.
Anyone who knows this bit of road knows that it has some of the tightest twisteist parts of road in NZ, with sections of 10-15 hair pin bends strung together in a row no more than 50 meters apart, and in between some very long flat fast sections.

On the flar and fast sections I couldn't even get close to keeping up with the bikes, but in the tight twisty stuff I was on them very quickly, and most would pull over to let me past. There is a limit to how quickly you can pick a bike up and lean it over the other way, the very rapid weight transfer required for going quickly through these sections was much better acomplished by something with 4 wheels on the road.

I have however followed one very enthuseastic rider who had smoke pooring off the back tyre as he went around the tightest corners.
