Have u ever had a dream that was so real that when u wake up for a couple seconds u think its real?
Well i was dating this guy named mike and he passed away in august, but the other night i had a dream that he was alive, and i knew he was gonna die. i wanted to tell him what was left unsaid when he died. So i said that i needed to talk to him, but i ended up writing down all my feelings on this crisp dollar bill and handed it to him then asked him to kiss me one last time. Then all of a sudden i woke up and i seriously thought he was alive for a few seconds. I hate that shit!

Yeah. And no matter how hard you try to go back to sleep to keep dreamin it doesn't happen. It happened to me a couple times in one week recently, about Kate. Made for miserable days afterwards.

Thats crazy. Recently I've been having dreams about a girl i dated four years ago. Its really strange. We left on bad terms and i havent talked or seen her since. But in the dream i run into her and the situation is really odd and strange, and neither of us knows what to say.

I used to dream so vivid and so much that I would often get dreams mixed up with real life... for example, I would be talking to a friend about how something happened and hes like "oh i never heard about that" and im like oh shit... nevermind, forget what I just said.

you always have dreams. do you often fall asleep high or a lil drunk? they say your tendency to remember dreams in that condition is minimal.
in my psychology class we're taught that dreaming is your brains way of working things out. the best time to try to remember a dream is immediately after you wake up. throughout the course of the day you tend to stop thinking about it and it goes away. the worst is when you have a dream that you can only recall bits and pieces of once you wake up.

I had a dream once that the earth had fallen off its axis and was going to crash into the sun. It started as a regular day and I was flipping through channels and stopped on the Discovery channel, and they were showing a parallel earth that had done the same thing. And they predicted it was going to happen to OUR earth this very night. I had like 20 minutes in fact. I called up my husband (then boyfriend) on the phone, wanted to talk to him and say goodbye. He was at work, said "I have to go. I'm on the other line with a client." And I went "No wait!! You have to listen to me, everything's about to end- I love you...look outside.." but by then the earth had gotten close enough - the other side of the earth was closest to the sun and it had ignited and this huge wave of fire was washing over the planet. Flames hundreds of feet tall and you could see the glow from them out the window. And my husband went, "What are you talking about..OH my god" and then a weird moan noise and the line went dead. And it started to get really hot, and I looked outside and the flame was almost here, it got hotter and hotter and everything went white and I felt the hair singe off my arms and I blacked out.
I wake up in a room with 20 or so people. One is my brother, the others I don't recognize. I ask them what's going on and one guy explains...
Beings from another planet had seen what was going to happen and sent down robots, who had scoured the planet before it completely immersed in the sun, and collected whatever little bits of tissue were left. And they had taken this tissue and harvested the DNA, and recreated these people of which I was one. Of the whole planet only 200 people had even flecks of remains that could be found and used. The rest were in other rooms in this hospital...we would be given the chance to perpetuate our kind and our societies....
I realized my husband was dead, and my whole family save one brother was dead, and everyone else I knew was dead, and the world as we knew it was gone. I woke up then, crying uncontrollably, had to call my husband and be consoled.
Later that night was the cliffhanger episode of Dead Zone where Johnny sees the Washington monument as burnt rubble, and Washington DC as just rubble and flame...and it leaves you hanging there. Boy was that unsettling.
That's probably my most vivid dream, and one I'd rather not repeat.

I've been having dreams lately about one of my ex-girl friends and it's really starting to piss me off. we had a pretty nasty break up a little over a year ago but for the last few weeks I've been having these dreams were she is in them. I never remember what we are doing or why she is there but it pisses me off that I can't get her out of my head and move on. I think it has something to do with the fact that I thought things were going all good (even thought they were far from it) and when she said it was over I was heart broken. I've come to the conclusion that I'm still attached to the memory of her when she was someone I loved and similarly to when we were going out I am able to over look that she treated me like crap and I only see the good. the dreams are not bad, and they aren't depressing or anything like that I just can't figure out why I'm still thinking about her after all this time. has anyone else had dreams like this last so long or come back at such a long date? maybe I'm just wierd. :D

I had a dream last week my parrot was killed by someone who fell asleep while playing with it and rolled over and crushed it in their sleep. I was heartbroken in my dream and I woke up feeling the same way. I hate those emotional dreams that bother you all day/week.. especially those one's you guys are talking about with your X- girlfriends/boyfriends.. those are the worst.

I've been able to Lucid dream on occasion, but not all the time. For instance, I once had a dream where I could jump extremly high but I could also change my direction in mid-air and how high I could jump.
I had another dream where it was like I was inside Grand Theft Auto with all the cheat codes :evillol: Every gun that I wanted automatically came to my hands, My dream ended at Mazda/VW dealership peeling out of a driveway in a RX-8 with a M-79 grenade launcher sticking out the window.

I used to have Lucent dreams where I fully realized I was dreaming. I would be back in class with some hot girls (nuf said). But in my defining moment that I realized it was a dream, it never lasted long after. Eventually, I would recognize the shortness and get everything I wanted to do in before it was over. Can't even remember my dreams now, though.

Anyone ever have this problem?: I've never had a dream with a coherent or tangible plot. I never win a Skyline, or a million dollars. If there's a beautiful girl involved, I can never quite get to her to do anything. I'm too busy riding backwards on a tiny multicolored dirtbike with a talking tub of doughnut batter while trying to find my detatchable penis or something. So frustrating... :banghead: :screwy: :iceslolan

I had one of those kind of dreams after my dad died. When he was alive, we didn;t really have a great relationship. He provided for us and took care of us, but he just wasn' there emotionally. He was a pessimistic person and could not see the good in anything. We never talked much, he always pushed everyone away and was antisocial.
Anyway, about 3 months later I dreamed that we were sitting on the patio talking....the way I wished we could have when he was alive. I was asking him for advice on my future, finances, etc. It was so real, and when I woke up I thought the convo had taken place....until I went into my mom's bedroom and saw her sleeping alone :(
I looked at it as kinda having that one chance to sit and talk with him, like a father and daughter should, and like the way I wished things coulda been when he was here....even if it was only a dream.

i have had this one dream about 100 times over and over again. im running threw a house with all these wax people standing around. and these clowns with shotguns are chasing me.
my dreams i have to say are very entertaining.
i have a few problems with them though.
one i cant run for the life of me. when im dreaming i often run in very slow motion. i have to like use my hands on the ground to speed me up. kinda hard to explain.
and two i fall off shit alot like buildings. and get that same feeling like i just went down a steep drop on a roller coaster.

Don't complain please, its not that big of a deal. If it was, a mod would take care of it.
When I was smaller I used to have dreams that I was in the shows on the disney channel. It was so weird. I probably watched too much tv back then. Then I discovered the Internet. :icon16:

All my dreams are the kind where you do menial tasks, like shuffle papers or arrange parts of a machine. Maybe I work too much. When I used to make car parts and computer parts in a factory, I used to see cascades of parts-numbers in my sleep. Basically, what I spent all day thinking about was what I spent all night thinking about. I guess that's why I kicked @$$ in college. I would take notes in my classes all day, and then go to sleep. When I would wake up, I would mysteriously remember and understand all that I had been taught the day before. It was fun. :smokin:

I Lucid dream when my mind is clear enough. If I'm drunk, stressed, hurting, or even hungry when I'm falling asleep, it doesn't happen.
I've noticed that the images and thoughts that are constantly in action in my subconcious tend to come to the forefront when I'm starting to fall asleep. by locking on to those images and dismissing the ones I don't care for, I'm capable of more often than not, having a "programmed" dream.
