the fusible link keeps burning up, everyone tells me that there is noway to fix it, unable to trace shortage, I have replaced it several times there is power everywhere but the car still won't turn on. I have taken it to the city garage and they said it would cost 3000.00 to replace all the wiring in the vehical since it is impossible to trace the shortage. I am a grandmother who lives on a fixed income just want to know if this is true.
and if not, if anyone has an idea of how to trace the shortage, my son is handy under the hood but not that handy. Thank you very much

Which fusible link is burning up?
What exactly is the problem with your truck....(the reason they replace the fusible link....no start, runs bad etc...)

it is the one on the drivers side front fender. the reason it was replaced several times is that the car would not start. replacing the fusible link made it start again but I was told that there was a shortage somewhere causing it to keep burning up now replacing it doesn't fix the problem.
