edelbrock itr throttle body

ok i am putting my throttle body on now and i need to know what i can do with the vacuum line the goes from the top of the stock throttle body to the charcoal cannister. i was told i may have to splice the line but it was unclear what to do after splicing it so i dont know what to do about it.
