i have a 88 dx hatch and i recently swapped in an 89' jdm integra Xsi B16a engine, LSD tranny, Pr3 ecu, ACT streetlight flywheel, type r clutch with act stage 3 clutch disc, iceman intake, high flow cat, 2 1/4' custom mandrel bent with Apexi N1 universal muffler. Does anyone else have the LSD tranny and how much of a difference does it make. Mine grips up off the line and rips through gears like nothing. I ran a 14.8 after breaking in the clutch the previous week. Just wanted some input from other b16a hatches.

i think the main thing is it prevents pegleg pealouts.

I have a ZC LSD trans in my crx, I'll let you know how it works as soon as I get it running! LSD basically keeps both wheels turning regardless of which wheel has traction. It's kinda like positraction for RWD cars, but is designed to work with the steering too. Yeah, you'll rip it up with an LSD, cuz you won't spin as much at the starting line, since neither wheel will break loose alone.
LSD=double traction at takeoff.

not the main thing ... but definatly something to show off since EVERYONE and their grandmother knows that honda's have one power wheel. with the two wheels turning ... you make nice pealouts to amaze your friends and get the girls!

Prolly trying to get a zc trans and aftermarket lsd. After I found out about it, I tried to order a couple from some of my importers and distributors, and they all told me that they are completely dried up, and can't ge them anywhere... I wish it weren't so, but that's what I have found...

what is that site for the lsd zc trans? I have a couple of customers who would like to have them...
The oem honda lsd is pretty strong though. Under boost, though, it may start to give, we'll see when I get boosted!!

http://www.evanshondaspecialist.com they are only a state away from you so for a road trip you could save on some shipping. they are really good at giving you the history on the parts you buy from them a guy i know bought a b17a1 w/ trannie and they gave him the vin # of the car they got it from, they have the seccond largest honda junkyard in the nation, first is hasports junkyard and it's already been picked clean, so check these dudes out. just give them time, they aren't the quickest, but they always call back

Well, I drove my CRX for the first time last night, and all I can say is that my LSD ROCKS! I couldn't believe the delivery of power to the wheels. It was like everything was directly connected! Any pressure to the accelerator resulted in me being shoved back into my seat, the tires barking, and that little car accelerating faster than I thought was possible. Therefore, in my mind, LSD=WOOHOO!

I would rather have a bone stock motor with an lsd, than a modded motor without an lsd. Spend the money on an lsd.

How much do aftermarket LSD tranny's go for? And what modifications are needed to put it on a B series motor in a CRX?

b16a w/ lsd trannie run around $1.5k to $2k very roughly go to hasport.com they sell the kits to put them into your car and have links to peeps who sell the engines themselves.
