I have a '94 LS and got it to 111mph it was at about 5k so i dont know how much faster it can go :(... the car was very stable though, i was surprised. do any of you know if my car has a speed limiter on it?

i have hit 140 in my 1991 LS w/ a b16a1 swap
(we have alot of back country roads to speed on :))

hit 142 in my gsr w/ 3 friends in my car on I-5.

have only hit 125 in the ITR (jus haven't wanted to get on it yet is all).

136 for me had to slow down for traffic, but it felt like it would go more. And this was racing a gsr too and pulling on him up top :iceslolan

120 a couple times in stock 92 gs auto took a long while but i got their the second time i went over these rr tracks at a peak of a small hill shit that was fun till i had to wash my drawrs damn ill never do that again

No spray, just pulled on him from about 95 to 136 ish Not by alot but about 3/4 car length, but made me happy :biggrin:
But he pulled me hard earlier when we were getting on the freeway, but from the 80mph role we were almost side by side then at about 90 I started inching foward :screwy: I think it was b/c of the LS gearing.
If there was spray involved it would not have even been close LOL:grinno:

lil off topic, but once you do an engine swap how many miles would you want to put on it tell you can race it? some dude told me he wouldnt race me tell he put 500miles on it. u dont have to put that much on it! do ya?

i have gotten up to 135 in my integra. it was the week that i got it. i had to try it out!

as any new car (or motor), you shouldn't drive it hard for at least 400-500 miles. this also allows the computer to "learn" your driving style.

I hit 150mph on the clock in my teg and it was still going (pretty impressive for a 1.8) a mate of mine was just ahead of me in his evo 6 and he said he was getting close to his limiter.

i hit 142 in my stock 96 gsr on the interstate......slowed down but felt like i could get a little more out of it.......it would depend on how many miles the engine had on it before you put it in ur car before you start to race it......if it has been raced alot then you running it would be no prob.....but i would run it after i put it in just being gentle.....then after i made sure that everything is good i would then see what that mofo can do...........(thats just me) :bananasmi

aftermarket speedometer?

teg speedos only go to 140. all tegs have the same top speed unless theres something wrong with them or if you change the gearing. theres more horsepower than transmission, meaning that you'll hit the rev limiter before you wont have enough horsepower to get past the wind resistance.

Well iv'e got a UK teg and my speedo goes up to 160mph, plus my mate's evo is limited to 155mph and he said he was nearly on it and i was only just behind him showing 150mph on mine.

I dont have an integra (yet) but i got my 97 civic 4 door LX with 4 people in the car up to 120 on I-494 lol, the main loop around minneapolis st paul

I have a 95 GSR 4 door. Soon after I got it about 5 years ago I took it on a nice stretch of highway at night and got it up to about 150mph it was just under redline I drove about 10 miles that way. That was at 35k miles and now I have 126k miles I don’t think I will do it again. It was fairly stable except the amount of air whistling through the windows! It was louder than the engine.

i only wish i had my integra...i cant wait :-)

I had 98 GSR up to 140 in Western Kansas. I slowed down because I got bored. With 17" wheels and a 1.75" drop the car handled like a champ.

I was also amazed at how much quicker it got to 140 than it did when it wasn't lowered with different shoes.

I have heard that above 100mph you can't count on a speedo for accurate readings due to calibration issues. Any truth to that?

on I-75 in ft lauderdale i hit 142mph, but i think my rpm's were at about 6k? probably about right. but that ws before i got my racing chip, header, and replaced my sticky back calipers. ooh can't wait to try it now. hmm, not sure how im going to be able to tell how fast im going.

yeah, everytime i hear about speeding with passengers in the car, it keeps reminding me about the bmw cruise. just be careful out there, guys.

the fastest i've went with my 98 gs auto teg was 90mph :icon16:. i'm not afraid of speed, but i'm afraid of getting caugh speeding :cwm27:

:) I took the picture as soon as it his 150 and i let off but my digital camera is slow so it droped off a few mph. it was still going, had a little tiinny bit left in her. not bad for a LS she was very stable at this speed also.

i have a question with your gauges. mine seem to turn a greenish blue after i have been driving for a bit. and every now and then when i go to turn my lights on they shut off and i have to push the button to turn them back on. and btw nice pic.

mine were always blue, they never shut off on me. I pulled the bulbs behind the dash and then I wired the lights in so they went on with ignition (so they could be lit at night even when lights are off, when parked and such) but yea mine i got for like 30$ off ebay and have always stayed the same color

145 racing my friends monte carlo

130 in my integra, 150 in my uncle's M5, and 170 in my niegbor's vet. he was drunk and wanted to show me his new toy, i put my foot on the gas still he said thats good.(this guy is crazy i was going 130 on turn i can barly take at 90 in my teg and he was calling my a pussy) my integra is lowered 2" on falkins to give you an idea of its capabilities.

just hit 135 easily in the turboed 99 teg ls i just bought. had to slow down for traffic though. definitely could go a little faster too.

118mph in my civic dx down I-94, and it was shaking and shuttering like mad, but thats all she would do. I backed down at 125mph in my teggy on Hwy 29 in wisconsin. still had lots to go, but i was wondering were my limiter was gonna hit, cuz thats kinda scary when it does.

And to all of you who run much over 80 with other people in the car, your very stuped and not responsible at all. Just remember if you crash its not only yourself your responsible for, its everyone else in the car. And I don't think any of you want to be sitting in jail for the rest of your lifes knowing you killed your friend. Just think about that next time before you go and show off with other people in the car

I havnt really pushed my GSR yet, so far 112 was the fastest, at like 4k so i know it had alot more to go, but there are lots of state troopers around here :( and i prefer not to get pulled over for goin that fast

Ive hit 150 on my 97 GSR goin to da beach...Ive only got da V2 and RS-R Ex Mag exhaust on it...

Ive also ran a 15.1 at da track wit da same mods...I ran on Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires(highly recommended), Koni Yellow shocks, and Neuspeed Race Springs...It was hot and humid as hell dat nite so i think i couldve broken into da 14's if da weather was cold

150 but it wasn't in a honda. I was racing a 70's vette at night. I still had more pedal, but I backed off. Just enough to stay a car length in front of him. If it would have been day time I would have kept the pedal to the metal and smoked him bad.

I had 2 friends and me and i got it up to 150 goin down hill on the i-90 coradore in washington (was racing a sick neon) and then got it up to 140 straight stretch in arizona.

130 in my old 95 gsr now i got a 98 jdm type r engine and never had the chance to run it top speed and btw i got the jdm cluster and it only goes up to 180kph i think soo i dont really know how fast ive gone on it cuz ive toped it to 180kph

I have a 1st gen 1988 Integra which I got up to about 133mph in 5th gear at 6500 rpm still had 500 rpm to go. I also have a 1995 Integra GSR which I just got about 6 months ago and have had it up to 130mph so far will try for higher speeds later on. No mods yet. Just sold the 88 to a co worker.

118 in an almost stock 92 integra LS. not to mention its an AT :( with about 300lbs of speakers and 2 friends in the car. coulda gone more but i didnt have my suspension upgraded at the time and it felt like i was gonna fly off the road. only engine work was an intake

Touched 140 a time or two in my 01 type R,still had some r's to give but I chickened out. I was very surprised by how stable it is at speed.
