Short shiftin'

Alright, it's ordering time for the short shifter. I was driving an eclipse all last summer, and my civic's shift length makes me feel like I'm in a school bus. I'm just looking for some opinions on what brands feel the best, and seem to make the biggest difference. I'm leaning towards a B&M Edge, just because I feel really comfortable ordering from Summit, but I know DC Sports and Neuspeed get talked about a lot, at least around here. I've heard the DC shifter is a pain to install, requiring you to remove part of the exhaust, and I've looked for the Neuspeed piece for a while, with pretty limited success. Does anyone have any of these models installed? Comments, regrets, advice? Much appreciated.

generally speaking, any short shifter is good for you. Autodynamic has 'type R' ones for like $29. Who cares if it isn't DC? No one can see it anyways. As far as install, from under my USDM Si, doesnt look to be too hard of an install.

I got the cheapo "type-r" one and have been satisfied with it

and the install is easy

I agree with them ... any type of short shifter will work the same ... installation is quite simple ... I don't even remember the brand of mine but it works good ...

Hey craz_e, do you have a picture of your car anywhere? From your signature it sounds pretty sweet

I have a DC sports short throw shifter and it only took me 30 mins to install. If you do get a short throw shifter make sure you get the polyurethane bushing.

you don't have to take the exhaust off, but it makes it a whole lot easier.
