Ok i was looking at some of the indlo glows on ebay they look nice at night but that white is tacky to hell as me. I was wondering if there is a way to paint them black and still have teh glow? Should i bother with it or no? there only like 20 so i'm thinking maybe i'll try it if you guys and girls think it can be done.

I am 99% sure that isnt going to work.... maybe if you used some kind of translucent paint...but it would be alot dimmer...plus how would you mask off all of the numbers, etc.?

I had thought of the same thing, I can't stand the white part. What I thought might be possible is to take the current gauges out and w/ an exact-o-knife, or a razor; cut out the number and what not there. Then simply paste them over the white part, thus, leaving the indi-glow numbers showing. Sounds like it would work to me but I don't ever feel like messing w/ my gauges. :2cents:

You could always get some colored projector sheets. I believe you can find them at places like Office Max, Office Depot, etc... They're basically translucent plastic sheets that come in different colors. Or, you could hit up your local tint shop for some colored window tint. That might work...

personally i wouldn't try painting them, putting translucent paper over them seems to be the best option. Are they really that bright?? Ive never seen any in person

hmm some of the ideas make sence i like the paper idea. Its not too bright its just teh white looks tacky as hell. Im going to get itchy and shell out the cash and try somthing soon.
