the lowest i usually put it is about 4600. anything lower is unreasonable. i usually keep it about 4800. unless i'm cruison on the highway at 100 or so, i bump it up to about 5500 so i'm not cruisin in VTEC the whole time. :D not that i cruise at the speed all the time. :p

i've heard anywhere from 4800 to 5500 seem to be ideal points for vtec engagement.

I've heard that the later ur VTEC kicks in, the harder it kicks in. I've seen 4th and 5th gen preludes pull REALLY hard when the VTEC kicks in at higher RPMs

i just had it tuned to the stock engagement, which im pretty sure is 5200. lowering a couple hundred isnt going to do much, and if im racing it would stay in vtec from 2nd and on anyways.

5100 rpm. Honestly I never hit vtec unless I am intentionally racing.. through out my course of the week, I never hit vtec just driving to work and home.

me neither. i've come to learn that hitting vtec on a regular basis takes a couple bars off your gas pretty quick.
