HELP please

hi i have an 88 civic and the other day i was driving on the highway and it started to shake so i went to pull over and then it started jerking very hard to the right even at 2 mph once i came to a stop i tride steering the wheel back and forth and it would go all the way to the left but only a littel to the right. i jacked it up couldnt find anything wrong and when i set it down it was back to normal? i drove it 130 miles home
i also have an cv joint clicking if that helps
im lost please help

Hermzz...sounds like the problem I use to have with my Isuzu. If you turn it all the way to the right or left, it clicks. That's not good, your boots are probably ripped too. You're gonna have to replace the cv joints. I paid about $450 for mine with the labor. The parts should run about $120 each. The prices reflect my Isuzu parts, your prices could be different (I don't know how significant). But I'm pretty sure it's your cv joints man.

if the cv joints are bad, your better off replacing the axle insted of rebuilding - much easier. I would check the tie rods & ball joints also. while the car is lifted - grab the front tire & shake - if any noise or play, you then most likely have a worn suspension part.(ball joint, tie rod, bushing, etc.) its hard to say without seeing it.
