First Attempt at Epoxy Putty Mods: The Porsche 911

hi guys, this is my first major attempt at doing putty mods. i did it on the Tamiya Porsche 911 Carrera kit. So far, i have changed the front bumper, and i'm wondering if i should make the fenders wide, for the wheel wells. Do give me suggestions and tips, they would be greatly appreciated.
Currently, the surface is rough and bumpy. i still have to fill the bumps with basic putty, and shape the whole thing, before i start smoothing it out.
So, here are the pictures:

If you want to make some wide fenders, I recomend the use of styrene. As for your bodykit, is this being modeled after something, or of your own? It's looking good so far either way!

i think i'm gonna go on, and make the wide fenders. i'll do it the same way Veyron did it-stick styrene sheet onto the wheel wells, and use basic type putty to mold the styrene sheet in. Veyron...any tips on making the wide fenders?

hm, i would suggest just to make bigger fenders on the front only. the back looks nice already :D
And if you flare the guards, you should only do a bit. some people did theirs way too much (Veyron for example, great work and all, but I reckon the fenders are a bit too wide, just a bit)

just ignore me tho :D

I think your work is terrible :evillol:. Nothing to do with modelling just the fact you're ruining a perfect design, this stuff should be left for the turd .

Don't listen to him.

I think it looks great. All you need to do is sand it which obviously you're going to do. :iceslolan

Thanks man, and i'm obviously gonna sand it to shape, then smooth it down with finer grit sandpaper.

Now for some progress: School's tight on me here, so i only managed to shape it slightly, and stick a styrene card at the bottom of the lip.

More Progress!
i decided to go-on, and make the custom wide/blistered fenders. i made them with sheet styrene stuck to the wheel wells, and then molded them in with Basic Type Putty.

Pictures:
Just Applied Tamiya Basic Type Putty, without using acetone to smooth it out, as i usually do.
