cavalier ignition coil

Ichanged the altenator and when started back up I had no spark to cyl 1-4.changed the coil pack and the car drove about 5 miles and the same problem occured,no spark to 1-4 , anyne know what the problem might be???

I have similar problem on a 96 2.4L automatic. My car is Toyata badged but am pretty sure this is the same as a Chev Cav Z24.

I had the altenator changed also and now get anti-theft light when trying to start up. I think the anti-theft system has kicked in and has disabled the sparks from firing.

Any luck with your car?

Bad Out Of The Box.

do you have aftermarket sparkplug wires? Mine never snap on, and sometimes fall off at the coils, resulting in no spark.
