94 Escort alternator problem

Have replaced alternator 6 times. Each time they say the previous mechanic put in the wrong alternator. Would like to keep car but it needs another alternator noe. Can anyone help?

yeah, I got a suggestion. not to sound rude, but go get a haynes manual if you dont know how to do it, then go to autozone or checker or pep boys, some parts dealer, and tell them what kind of car, and replace it yourself. its not very hard, at all.
