Tranny Fluid Question

just wondering what u guys with standards use for tranny fluid, someone suggested i use 80W90 gear oil, is there anything else i can use?? and how many litres will i need?

Do not use 80w-90 gear oil - honda manuals only need 10w-30 or 10w-40 engine oil. You can use Honda MTF or the redline MTF.

From what I've read, Redline isn't very good for Honda trannies. I used it before, and it makes shifting feel really good, but it damages your tranny after awhile.

should I use synthetic or normal oil for the transmission?? and what brand should I use? when i did my clutch the old oil came out black/red and was really watery :( not cool :mad:

I dont sugesst synthetic for the trans, mine has Penzoil 10w-30 - only time my rebuilt trans. grinds is due to driver error.
