Has anyone experienced a burning smell while driving the 2000. Smell is similar to burning rubber. Not overpowering, but definitely noticable.

Thanks

Yes. Our 98 started having a funny odor after driving it for the past month or so. It now cranks but will not stay running. That's why i came to this board to see if anybody could help me figure out what is messed up so i can fix it myself.

I would check the brake switch on the pedal first they are a cheap plastic part and the points tend to get hot and melt the caseing, sometimes you can actually see the brown burnt plastic on the white side of the switch. the whole switch is under 20 dollars if this is the problem. good luck
