94 GT Stalling Out

Hello
I'm new to this forum. Anyway I have a 1994 Grand Am GT 3.1 Engine with 54,000 miles on it. Vehicle now stalls when place on any gears. I can star it back up no problem and engine seems fine when in park or neutral. But when place on any gears it stalls, no matter what the temperature. Any suggestions????

What transmission do you have a 3 speed or 4 speed? A 3 speed transmission it would sound like your TCC is stuck on, try unplugging your transmission connector and see what happens.

does it idle rough after you put it in gear, before it stalls?

It's a 3 speed transmission. I'll unplugged in the morning to see what happens. It's easy to replace??? Would I be able to see the TCC if I drop the transmission oil pan??? What else would I need???

sounds like the torque converter solenoid

My 93 did the same thing...refer to the thread 2 before yours...
