is there a bigger engine that produces more HP and will fit in the car?

no not really. hte 04 eclipses kinda sux.. you can spend lots of $$ and build a custom turbo package..

You can convert the 2.0 to a 2.3 stroker or install a 2.4 liter block with the 4g63 head. Thats about it.

You can do that, its called the 1gina2g swap using either the RRE or the more popular Magnus method. But its the same size as the 2 motor ;)

The trick is to put a 2.4 liter crank in the 2.0 liter block with 1g or upgraded rods, and custom pistons like the 8.5:1 weiscos made for this hybrid. You end up with a 2.3 liter. The other option is to convert a 2.4 liter block from some mitsu/hyundia cars to work with the 4g63 head and swap that block in for a true 2.4 liter.
