Okay i have a question well first of all did i get a deal on this?? Okay a guy i know at a local junkyard by gateway international in saint louis called me and said the had a 5th gen civic that came in. So i went up there and took the intake manifold, fuel rail, injectors and all of the sensors that were on it. Plus he gave me the ecu with. It. I got this all for $40.00 for intaked and accesories, and $5.00 for the ecu.

Okay now here is the question.
It came for a 5th gen DX with a d15b7 engine.

Will it work on my 4th gen sedan. How hard or what do i have to do do modify it from obd1 to obd0 or can i follow the directions for the MPFI swap instructions on www.4thgenerationcivic.com

This does also need a lot of cleaning how and what is the best way to do this???

Thanks !

yeah thats a good deal. You can follow MPFI for the most part except for the Injector resistor box doesn't get used. I'm not sure try searching for obd1 wiring stuff. I'm sure someone else will reply also, just takes time.

THANKS Does anyone know how to change the wiring at the ecu. Or how to make a harness. Ive been looking at all of the service manuals and looking for the same sensors and matching them up. Well anyone elses help would be appreciated.

Oh yeah what is the best way to clean the intake manifold
Thanks

I say stay obd0. All of the connectors should match right up, and should all work fine. I don't see any reason for switching to obd1, it's a ton of work and the harness for the quick switch is like $175 to get. Just do the regular obd0 swapover that you can find at www.hybrid.honda-perf.org. That is the easier way by far...

your best bet would be to convert to OBD1 and use the P06 ECU from the 92-95 DX. Its suited a little better to your 1.5L MPFI engine than the PM6/PG7/PR4 would be. Although you will have to take a little time to make a harness, or shell out some money to buy one, its a good investment.

If you prefer not to do so, you can use a pm6 (preferred) ECU from an 88-91 CRX/Civic Si, a PG7 ECU from an 88-89 Acura Integra (runs very rich). The last resort you should check out is a PR4 from a 90-91 Acura Integra, as this will run VERY VERY rich, and is not suited to your 1.5L engine at all, seeing as how it was designed to run a 1.8L DOHC.

if you decide to stay OBD0, the PG7 is probably the easiest ECU to get a hold of, and remember this as well, an automatic ECU *WILL* work in a pinch, and will run the engine the same as a manual, only the check engine light will stay on all the time (Automatic Transaxle Lockup Control Solonoid Valve).
