Single mom, car help please!!!!

Okay I have a 94 GMC Jimmy 4 door It has the option of 4X4 I think its an s15....

Yesterday it was working fine, except a small high pitch probably the fan. Anyhow I shut it down and then a few hours later started it back up and the gauge that indicates your battery wasnt working. Then the brake light indicator kept coming on. My turn signals didn't blink. My radio sounded like it was a record with scratches where it cuts in and out. Worst of all when I stopped and pressed the gas to go again it took an eternity to go, Like it just didn't have enough gumption to move.... Very scary on a highway with a toddler in the car...

Every one says it is probably a fuse...I found the fuse box and started pulling them out. But how in the world do I know if it is blown? what am I looking for? Also is there any way to narrow down which ones it might be???? Please help if I don't get it running by Monday i'm going to lose my job....

Don't pull anymore fuses!

I would have the battery and charging system checked...it sounds like the alternator will not charge the battery or maintain the needed voltage while the engine is running.

Thanks!! I took your advice and was on my way to take the car to get a new battery and have them check to see if it was something more, got to the end of my street and it totally died permanently. Had it towed to the garage. Hope it won't cost much.....
