IVe gotten alot of opinions from other people but i would like to know what to add to my land rover discovery (series 2) to make it better for offroading or even just look cooler. some of the stuff needs to be practical because i do offroad alot and it cant be horribly expensive becasue i do have somewhat of a budget
so come on back
peace
thanks in advance for any help

If you're looking for off-road mods, have some lockers fitted. If you're looking for things that "look cool" try some headlights. Then maybe upgrading the suspension (Old Man Emu has some good stuff) and of course, get new tires if you haven't already.

Bull bars, skid plates, a winch, and the before mentioned things are must have items for any serious off roader. If you want specific prices and brands I can post them later from my Land Rover parts catalog.

I have gotten a lot of advice and the consensus is to get protection and go from there. As you know rovers are expensive to fix so buy a oz. of prevention so you don't have to pay for the lb. of cure. I got some recovery points and diff gaurds. My next purchase is going to be rock sliders. From there I think the majority of my mods will be performance, i.e. lockers, lift, tires etc. Of course if you want to go with what looks cool follow Cbass' advice, he knows what he's talking about.

what year is your rover? if its a new series II 03-04 they already have diff lock on them so lockers would be pointless. i know so guys that build the rock slidders on the side and they are NICE, I'll give their names and #'s. They are based in San Antonio, TX.

here are some sites to check out for rover things: www.expeditionexchange.com
www.safarigard.com
http://www.rovertym.com/
http://www.roverconnection.com/
http://www.dap-inc.com/homeframe.htm
They all different products look around see what you thinks looks cool and would be most appropriate for the type of wheeling you would like to do.
