can you have a dx vtec??

i have a friend with 89 hatch and he asked me to write and wants to know if he can add a vtec head to is sohc 1.5 engine? i say just drop a b16a? whay do you guys think??

yes he could put a d16z6 head on, which is vtec, its known as the mini me. but compared to the b16 its weak. you search this forum alot of good info.

Just look around AZ is full of honda experts that could do the job in a couple of hours.

Look around the Honda forum here at AF. I am sure some other guys have but that head on their engine. But he should really just buy a new JDM engine.
